ABOUT US

Vision: To Eradicate Bullying

​

Mission Statement: It is the mission of the Bullying RIP (Report It Please) to inspire, encourage and engage teen victims of bullying and violence and help them succeed in their academic, personal, and professional lives.  We plan to work with other organizations and institutions to combat teen violence and bullying in our school system.

How We Began:

In October 2021 Franklin Parish High School, in Winnsboro, LA, JROTC held an Anti-Bullying Rally to bring awareness to bullying.  While conducting research for the rally, Emma Jones Blackshire, an educator,  discovered many suicides were a direct result of bullying.  This lead Emma to have each cadet write a statement about a bullying incident that happened to them or someone they knew.  One extremely question posed to the students was, “did you report it and if so, what were the results?”.  Astonishingly, many responded they did not report the bullying because “they’re not going to do anything anyway”.

Witnessing the hopelessness the students expressed Emma knew in heart and soul this was a call to action. To which she responded by creating “Bullying: RIP (Report It Please)
